London Stock Exchange is launching CIS and Russia Regional Roadshow 2009 to continue the work from previous years in promoting awareness of the investment potential of the regional centres of Russia and CIS to a growing group of London based investors and advisors.

Among the Russian and CIS companies already listed and traded on London Stock Exchange there are already numerous examples of businesses with strong regional focus. Companies such as Magnit, the food retailer from Krasnodar and metals producers MMK, TMK, Chelyabinsk Zinc and others from the Urals demonstrate how important it has become to understand not just the Russian economy as a whole but also the regional economies and the differences between them.

We would like to express our appreciation to the regional governments and businesses who have lent their support to this project which we hope will help to attract new investment and support the development of regional businesses.
